Though we can provide "Danish" oil and wax type finishes upon request, most of our top coat finishes are done with Sherwin Williams' conversion varnish. The advantage of this product is to ensure superior wear characteristics along with easy maintenance while still allowing a natural appearance. On some wood, hand applied oil products like those used in our shop can accelerate the patina created by the aging process with nice effect. In some instances we will use an oxidizing oil prior to top coating with conversion varnish to both enhance the look of the wood and further speed up the aging process that creates a natural patina.
