Lee Bauerlein is the creative force behind Pearlwood Design. Customers may find Lee’s designs familiar and yet unique, as much of his work draws on elements from the classics. He enjoys bringing design elements from the past into the present by incorporating timeless features, details, and classic proportions with modern functionality. He also enjoys challenges that require creative problem solving. Work spaces like offices and kitchens, along with media/display centers, can provide fun and challenging projects.
Quality is top priority at Pearlwood Design. We incorporate only the finest hardware for hinges, drawer glides and other accessories. Good hardware should last at least as long as the woodworking itself and provide many years of fine service for generations to come. Of course fine work doesn't end with simply good design. To ensure a pleasant visual flow throughout every piece we build, we carefully select consistent wood colors and grain. We very much believe in creating pieces that will be a pleasure to use as well as very visually appealing.
Please call ahead for appointments to view finished pieces on display as well as some current work in progress at our shop and showroom. Like most reputable shops, we do not offer prices or estimates over the phone and usually insist you either have a reasonably detailed design drawing on hand, or plan on working directly with Lee in producing a set of drawings that accurately represent your needs and desires. With few exceptions a fee is generally charged for this service but, like the actual building work, Lee guarantees your satisfaction with his designs as well. A “for fee” service will also provide you with the opportunity to use the drawing(s) to obtain competitive bids from other shops if you so choose.
